Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction (TACI) was organized by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (May 6,1991). Mirakhmedov Mahamadjon Mirahmedovich
The Institute, is the leading higher educational institution that concentrates on architecture and construction, provides for the needs of the National Program of Personnel Training.
There are economic, architectural, engineering-building and industrial-civil construction faculties at the Institute.There are also the lyceum, the faculty of up-grading teachers' qualification and the department of international ties at the Institute.
More than 2000 students study at the full and part - time correspondence courses. The preparation of the students is carried out in 11 educational directions which include 19 specialities. More than 200 highly qualified teachers work at the Institute. The scientific-teaching specialists are trained at the post-graduate learning system.
The specialised Academic Councils for defending candidate and doctoral theses on architecturial and building sciences function at the institute.
During the study at the Institute the students have an opportunity to become proficient theoreticall and professionally.
The specialists of the institute receive orders for designing of public buildings and dwelling houses, for untilization of industrial and agricultural waste, for elaboration and producing of effective building materials and building constructions, for determining seismic stability of buildings and constructions.
The collections of scientific works, monographs, textbooks, manual and methodical aids prepared by the lecturers and teaching staff are published at the institute.
